POTTERY INTENSIVE COURSE

This intensive course is destined for everyone who is really curious about the pottery technique and wants to learn it from scratch or develop their skills. If you previously made the pottery workshop and with to fully extend your capacities, this one is also for you.

It's a course I wish I had available when I first started to make a better understanding of the full process. Starting taking my first steps on the wheel, this experience will help you correct some of your first movements and figure out simple things such as centering the clay and the best ways to pull up a cylinder.

In this 12h course we'll cover everything from properly wedging the clay, to making cylinders and tableware and trimming the shapes.

Course Plan
1st session 
Cover the basics of the ceramic practice and the different clays
Clay wedging for the wheel, spiral wedging
Demonstration of wheel throwing, student follows up on the exercise
Demonstration of trimming a piece previously made, student follows up on the exercise

2nd session 
Student trims the previously made pieces 
Centering exercises
Molding the clay into concrete shapes

3rd session 
Trimming the previously made pieces
Decorating + Glaze demo


The pieces will later be glazed by me and delivered at the studio within four weeks.
The price of the workshop already includes materials, glazing service, and firings.
The student can only keep five pieces. The pieces belong to the student and will only be kept three months after notice of completion.
